About the Program
The Harvard Brigham Foot and Ankle Fellowship was started in 1995 and has been growing and improving ever since. We take great pride in our Fellows’ success and also go to great lengths to ensure that their experience and education while here in Boston is one of the most rewarding years of their lives.
This fellowship provides advanced training in the operative and non-operative care of a broad spectrum of foot and ankle disorders. These include arthritis, chondral injury, fractures, sports injuries, deformity, diabetes, and tendinopathy. The teaching staff is composed of Dr. Eric Bluman, Dr. Christopher Chiodo, Dr. Elizabeth Martin, Dr. Christopher Miller, and Dr. Jeremy Smith.
Clinical volume is robust, both in the office and operating room. Research is strongly encouraged. Laboratory facilities are available if fellows wish to pursue basic science or biomechanical investigations. Statistical and epidemiological support is available. Didactic training includes weekly indications conference and lectures, weekly grand rounds, and journal club. Fellows also play an active role teaching and supervising the residents who rotate on the service during the course of the year.
